A 100% Gluten free and lactose free restaurant in the center of the Pest side, with a very elegant interior. Here you can try hamburgers, with the (perhaps) best gluten free bread in Budapest. The menu includes traditional Hungarian dishes, such as goulash, and various types of meat, such as the typical chicken with paprika. Being 100% gluten free, of course, it is also certified. Highly recommended!

Another 100% gluten free and lactose free restaurant in the heart of Pest. The interiors are very suggestive in full Hungarian style. This restaurant is the classic example of a local restaurant, where you can eat well with very generous portions, but spending little . Maximum safety for gluten free, given the certification also shown on the website. We tried the goulash with dumplings (a typical Hungarian combination) and the fried chicken. Highly recommended!
Retro Langos Budapest is a kind of fast food in the heart of Pest, not far from the Parliament, where you can taste one of the most famous typical dishes of Budapest, namely Langos. It is a kind of flat pancake, almost as big as a pizza, on which Hungarians love to put various toppings. We tried them with sour cream and cheese. There are gluten-free fried Langos available in a separate station and therefore very safe. Recommended!
As in many other cities, the Hard Rock Café offers gluten-free options and is therefore definitely worth considering as a possible option for lunch or dinner. However, we personally prefer, during our travels, to try local dishes, which offer a better taste experience at definitely lower prices. In any case, it is always a good idea to have a plan B, for when you really don't know where to go to eat and therefore a place like the Hard Rock Café definitely comes in handy! Book in advance.

A 100% gluten-free bakery and pastry shop in the upper part of Buda. Offering products such as bread, brioche and biscuits as well as typical Hungarian sweets.
Hotel
In addition to restaurants and pastry shops, in this section we also feel like recommending the hotel where we stayed. It is a 5-star hotel, which pays particular attention to gluten-free. In addition to the dedicated section, in the breakfast room, we tried the "room dining service", or dinner served in the room. Not only did they guide us in choosing gluten-free dishes but they also delivered fresh gluten-free bread.
