Restaurants
A restaurant in the center of Oslo with a very extensive menu: you can find first courses, second courses, Norwegian dishes, American and Italian pizza and much more. There are 3 Egon locations in the city; we tried the one near Oslo Central Station. Although it is not an expressly "gluten-free" restaurant, as with other restaurants in Oslo, the allergens are clearly specified on the menu and the staff is well informed on the subject. In fact, when we asked to order (the typical) Norwegian salmon and cod, they replied that, although they were already intrinsically gluten-free dishes, they would notify the kitchen, in order to avoid contamination. Highly recommended! Try the typical Norwegian dishes!

Chain of Italian restaurants in the heart of Oslo, offering typical Italian dishes, such as pasta, risotto and pizza. They offer gluten-free versions of both pasta and pizza and pay particular attention to the cause. We had pizza and we must say that it was very good (better than some gluten-free pizzas that are eaten in Italy). We always recommend, when traveling, to try local flavors, but Olivia remains an excellent alternative, both for when many restaurants in the city are closed (as happened to us who visited Oslo on New Year's Eve) and because the Norwegian tradition is not so vast in culinary proposals.

Norwegian cuisine restaurant near the center of Oslo. Here you can taste real Norwegian cuisine with its typical dishes. Unfortunately we didn't go there, due to the closure on New Year's Eve, but it was one of the restaurants that we would have definitely tried. We recommend it anyway because it is also reported (and recommended) by the "Norwegian Celiac Society".
A restaurant in the center of Oslo that offers different types and varieties of soups. Most of them are explicitly gluten-free.
Oriental restaurant in the center. It offers an à la carte menu with various options of sushi and other oriental dishes. As with other restaurants (most) in Oslo, it is not explicitly written "gluten-free", but allergens are clearly indicated on the menu. We had a tasty pad-thai.
Norwegian restaurant located in a very special location. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Oslo fjord. The restaurant is of a higher level (also economically) and you can try traditional Norwegian dishes.
fast food
In Norway, McDonald's offers the possibility of choosing any sandwich and ordering it in a gluten-free version: a real turning point compared to the situation of the famous fast food in Italy (where you only have one meager sandwich available ). In the center of Oslo there are several locations (and one at the airport). As previously mentioned, we recommend favoring the local cuisine, but a fast food for emergency lunches/dinners is always useful!
Burger King in Oslo also has gluten-free buns, but not fries! We haven't been there ourselves, but it's recommended by the Norwegian Celiac Society! Like Mc Donald's, there are several locations in the city, including one in the central station and one at the airport.
Pastry shops
Baker Hansen in Oslo seems almost an institution. Everywhere you turn you find a branch. In addition to the convenience of the location, this bakery offers gluten-free cookies and cakes as well as delicious gluten-free sandwiches and rolls. Highly recommended for a quick lunch while visiting the city!
Hotel
In addition to restaurants and pastry shops, in this section we also feel like recommending the hotel where we stayed. It is a hotel in the central station area, which pays particular attention to gluten-free. In addition to the large dedicated section in the breakfast room, we went to the Top Restaurant (the hotel restaurant on the 33rd floor). Not only did they guide us in choosing gluten-free dishes (practically all except the salmon, even the desserts) but they also brought us fresh gluten-free bread. We tried the reindeer meat (a Norwegian specialty).
